Staff Spotlight ~ Shelly Standley
We’re delighted to highlight Shelly Standley, the TK–4th grade Resource Teacher at Ambrosini Elementary. Shelly has been a valued member of the Fortuna Elementary School District for 22 years, sharing her expertise and positive spirit across all four sites during that time. Her cheerful, kind demeanor and commitment to individualized instruction help her students thrive in and out of the classroom.
Throughout her career, Shelly has taught a range of grades, from TK through 7th in Resource and 4th, 6th, and 7th in General Education. What she loves most about her work is watching her students make discoveries and grow in confidence as learners. Her positivity and adaptability make a difference in every lesson, and she tailors her approach to meet each child’s unique needs.
Outside of school, Shelly enjoys spending time with her family and taking walks with her two fur babies. This enthusiasm for life shines through in her teaching, where she brings energy, warmth, and kindness to every interaction.
