Staff Spotlight ~ Sharon Baldwin
Meet Sharon Baldwin, a dedicated SDC Aide at Walker Elementary who can always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Before officially joining the staff, Sharon volunteered at Walker for a couple of years and has deep roots in the school—her three children attended when it was known as South Fortuna in the 1990s. After semi-retiring in October 2022, she embarked on a new adventure in education and hasn’t looked back. Sharon’s commitment to the school reflects her passion for the educational system, where she says, “kids are my world.”
Sharon now works with K–4 students in the SDC class, finding joy in watching them learn and blossom. She loves exploring different ways to help her students engage with new concepts, all while nurturing their creativity. Beyond the classroom, Sharon enjoys traveling, going to the movies (and laughing a lot while she’s there!), and channeling her energy into cleaning, organizing, and remodeling projects. Her enthusiasm, warmth, and willingness to pitch in wherever needed make Sharon an invaluable member of the Walker Elementary team.
