We are thrilled to highlight Tammy Payne, a dedicated aide in Mrs. Christina Victorine’s TK/Kindergarten class at Ambrosini Elementary and an Excel leader in our after-school program. Tammy’s dependability is unmatched, and she’s always ready to give a kind word to students and staff alike.

Tammy has been at Ambrosini for 12 years, transitioning to education after working as an insurance agent. She began her career as an aide in a kindergarten class and has stayed in that role while also working in the Excel program, where she primarily leads 1st and 2nd graders. The joy she finds in teaching is evident: “I love the kids. The smiles & the hugs. It’s so exciting watching their faces when they realize they’ve learned to hold a pencil or know the alphabet.”

Outside of work, Tammy is a proud Fortuna native, having attended Toddy Thomas and Ambrosini herself before graduating from Fortuna High. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, riding on her husband’s motorcycle, combing the beach for agates, and spending time with her grandchildren. She’s also a big football fan, cheering on her grandson’s games, and loves cuddling with her French Bulldog, Bubba.

Tammy Payne’s caring presence, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to our students make her an invaluable member of the Ambrosini team. We’re grateful for everything she does to help our kids learn and grow!
