We’re excited to highlight Tory Pumpkin, a dedicated and creative kindergarten teacher at Norman G. Ambrosini Elementary. Tory has been teaching for more than 25 years, most of which have been spent within the Rohnerville/Fortuna area, and her experience is evident in the caring and thoughtful way she supports young learners.

Her principal, Angela Schuetzle, shares, “Tory is dedicated to her students. She is creative in finding ways to meet their needs and support their emotional and social growth.” That care and creativity are felt every day in her classroom.

Tory has taught nearly every grade from kindergarten through eighth, giving her a wide understanding of student development. These days, what she loves most is helping children grow into their best selves through strong character education and social-emotional learning. Guiding students as they build confidence, understand their feelings, and learn how to interact with others is where she finds the most joy.

A fun fact about Tory is that she is absolutely crazy about animals, a passion that brings joy to her life outside the classroom.
