We are proud to feature Madisyn Letter, a Climate and Culture Ambassador who serves both Linell K. Walker Elementary and Fortuna Middle School. Madisyn is known across both campuses for her kindness, her steady support, and the genuine connections she builds with students.

Her principals share glowing praise:
Madisyn builds great relationships with the students. She has a positive attitude that is infectious with staff and students alike. She deeply cares for the well-being of our students.”
They also add, “Madisyn is an outstanding ambassador. She has a naturally kind, accepting way with students, and they all love her. She shares her beautiful smile with everyone, and we are lucky to have her on campus.”

Madisyn was born and raised in Fortuna and attended Ambrosini and Toddy Thomas before graduating from Chico State with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She began working in education five years ago and is now in her fourth year with the district. While her primary role has always been Climate and Culture Ambassador, she also steps in as a substitute teacher, secretary, or wherever she is needed, supporting students and staff with a calm and caring presence.

What Madisyn loves most about her work is the relationships she builds with students.
She says, “What I love most about my job is building real connections with students and being someone they can count on. Whether it’s celebrating their little wins, helping them work through tough moments, or just being a safe person to talk to, those relationships are what make this work so meaningful to me.”

A fun fact about Madisyn is that many of her former teachers are now her coworkers and supervisors. She describes it as a full-circle experience, getting to work alongside the same people who supported her growing up.

Madisyn’s warmth, empathy, and dedication make her a cherished part of both Walker and FMS. Our district is incredibly fortunate to have her representing our climate and culture team.
