Staff Spotlight ~ Elizabeth Collins

This trimester, we are thrilled to feature Elizabeth Collins, the Health Aide at Fortuna Middle School. Elizabeth is in her second year with the district and has quickly become a vital part of the FMS front office and campus life.
Her Principal, Saul Lewis, appreciates the consistency and warmth she brings to her role, stating: "Elizabeth is highly reliable and consistently shows up to school every day with a positive attitude. She is caring and kind to students when they need medical assistance. Her rapport with the students is outstanding, contributing to a positive environment in the office."
As a Health Aide, Elizabeth finds great fulfillment in connecting with students and seeing them grow, succeed, and mature during their middle school years. She also values the supportive environment provided by her colleagues, noting that she feels honored to be a part of the FESD team.
Elizabeth has a long-standing connection to our schools, having attended Walker Elementary (then known as South School) and Fortuna Middle School (then known as Town School). A fun fact about Elizabeth is that she is a huge roller coaster fan! When she isn't seeking thrills at a theme park, she enjoys kayaking the Klamath and Trinity Rivers, exploring new hiking trails with her husband and dog, hunting for agates, and preparing unique meals. We are so glad to have Elizabeth’s kind and professional presence at Fortuna Middle School. Thank you, Elizabeth, for all you do for our students and our school community!
